About Us
Petit Pearson is a non-profit childcare centre located at Lester B Pearson Elementary School. We are licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services, and we hold a purchase of Service Contract with Toronto Children’s Services, allowing us to provide subsidized care.
Our guiding principles to achieve our program statement are based on the provincially approved pedagogical approach to child development: How Does Learning Happen (HDLH). It serves as a vision for the future potential of all children and a view to what they should experience each and every day in our care.
PPCC Summer Camp
Petit Pearson Camp offers an exciting program full of learning, adventure, and fun for children aged 18 months to 12 years old. Our Camp provides a summer experience full of unique memories and friendships.
The relaxed atmosphere and our great team help create the perfect environment for embarking on new adventures and developing new skills. The Program allows input from, and choices for, the children.
The weekly cost of our program includes hot, healthy, catered lunches, as well as snacks in the morning and afternoon.
All Staff are Qualified and Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) with First Aid-CPR Certification. Petit Pearson’s educators are committed, mature, and enthusiastic individuals who are hired for their leadership and specialized skills to implement and supervise each experience.
Extra Curricular
Extra curricular and enrichment experiences are provided for all ages from toddler to school-age program.
The extra curriculum is implemented every week after 3:30 pm and based on the needs and interests of each age group.
The curriculum includes leadership, chess, karate, art, sport ball, science, and more. The cost of the extra-curricular experiences is included within the monthly program cost.
