This week in the preschool room, Children were able to explore and use their gross motor skills outdoors. Although this time the preschoolers entered into play with a different idea. The preschoolers decided to go on a hunt and look for caterpillars around the playground.
The Children found two caterpillars and We decided to bring them inside into our classroom for all the children to observe the caterpillars.
We placed the caterpillar in a acrylic container and Some children thought of wonderful ideas to include inside such as :
- Leafs
- Sand
- Sticks
- Rocks
- Sun
These materials and ideas that the children wanted to include were all wonderful ideas as caterpillars do need outdoor nature materials and sun to grow into a Beautiful butterfly.
