Preschool Bakery Shop
This week in the Preschool Room, Educators decided to make the Dramatic center into a Bakery Shop based upon the children’s interests.
Children were able to role play, be creative and use their imagination with many different food items such as:
- Bread
- Cupcakes
- Donuts
- Cake
- Muffin
- Pie
Children also were able to use Baskets for their items and Cash register to expand their play experience which promoted their problem solving, thinking, and turn-taking. The children really enjoyed the order window.
By Extending the Play experiences of the Bakery Shop for all the children; we decided to bake a marble sponge cake with fresh strawberries on top.
