Good Afternoon Parents and Guardian’s

This week in the preschool room, educators decided to make the children’s art experience different and creative by allowing the children to use nature outdoor materials for their Art experiences

Children were able to pick out their own leaf from our outdoor playground.

Children were able to paint the inside of the leaf that they picked, they then placed it onto their construction paper and observed how the print of the painted leaf looked onto their construction paper.

Children were also able to use their representation skills by using the leaf they picked to express their ideas as you can see, some children decided to place blue on some areas on the leaf and adding another color and some children decided to fill the whole leaf with just one color. This shows that the children are expressing their thoughts and ideas and most importantly problem solving through their played art experiences

Here are a few examples of children’s Leaf Art experiences

One Children decided to place gold paint in the middle and blue paint on ends of the leaf including the stem
Another child, entered into their play by placing gold paint on only a quarter of the leaf, Green in the middle and blue on the other half.
Another child decided to paint their whole leaf Blue

All children’s paintings are unique and creative in their own way, as each child has different thoughts and ideas as they enter into play
