ABOUT

At Petit Pearson Childcare Centre (PPCC) and Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Childcare Centre (ENWN), we are dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing early learning and childcare in a safe and engaging environment. Our goal is to support each child’s development, curiosity, and overall well-being while building strong partnerships with families and the wider community.

Our programs promote play-based learning, exploration, and meaningful relationships that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Guided by Ontario’s How Does Learning Happen? framework, our qualified and caring educators create enriching learning environments that reflect each child’s interests, strengths, and individual needs. Across both centres, we are committed to professionalism, continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of care and education.

Together with families, schools, and community partners, PPCC and ENWN strive to create welcoming spaces where children can grow with confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC)

Petit Pearson Childcare Centre (PPCC) and Ethennonnhawahstihnen’ Childcare Centre (ENWN) are proud participants in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system.

Through CWELCC, our centres are committed to improving affordability, accessibility, quality, and inclusion in early learning and childcare. Participation in this system allows us to offer reduced parent fees while continuing to invest in high-quality programming, qualified educators, and safe, enriching learning environments.

As CWELCC-enrolled centres, PPCC and ENWN operate in accordance with provincial and municipal requirements, including funding guidelines, accountability measures, and quality standards. Our participation supports workforce stability, ongoing professional development, and sustainable operations, ensuring that families receive consistent, high-quality care.

We remain committed to transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement as part of the CWELCC system, working closely with families, funding partners, and governing bodies to support the best possible outcomes for children.

Our Educators

The PPCC team is comprised of qualified Registered Early Childhood Educators. Our staff is trained in behaviour management techniques such as self-regulation. Staff members are committed to ongoing professional development and take part in varied professional advancement activities such as workshops and networking meetings.

The program is operated with trained and registered educators who follow the Ministry of Education’s play-based curriculum. Staff creates curriculum that is based on the strengths, interests, and needs of the children in our care. The curriculum is based on observation and children’s inquiries.

Staff plan experiences to facilitate learning through play, and provide a balanced program that supports and facilitates children’s optimum development.
